Do you have to peel the cucumber? Does that yield better results?

Can this be done without heat? I’m assuming it just takes a little longer to dissolve and absorb maybe?

I’m trying a different technique right now. I just equal parts cucumber, and sugar in a tupperware container, and will let them get to know each other in the fridge. In theory the sugar should suck all the water out of the cucumbers, and I’ll end up with a syrup that is more cucumbery than actual cucumbers.

I love to make this syrup. May I know how long will it last? Thanks.

Keep refrigerated should last long long time.
Because our customers drink it up, ours doesn’t last very long.
