Overnight Oats

I think this is the world’s easiest breakfast recipe. Oatmeal magically overnight and NO cooking involved! Simply combine whatever milk you like (I love almond milk here) with the oats in a jar and the oats absorb the liquid overnight. All you have to do is top with your favorite oatmeal toppings. I never thought I’d enjoy a cold oatmeal, but it is so incredibly refreshing. Frozen blueberries work perfect with this and for a little texture, I added crunchy buckwheat groats, sliced almonds and coconut flakes. I drizzle extra honey on top which gets cold from the frozen blueberries and, combined with the other crunchy toppings, turns into an almost-granola. So fantastic, especially for hot summer mornings!

This would be two servings for me. And I would use fresh fruit not frozen in the morning. Other than that looks like a great recipe.

could KEFIR MILK BE USED?.
A SPOON FULL OF CHIA SEED, AND A SPOON FULL OF HONEY
A TABSPOON, OR TEASPOON?

Just wanted to confirm that we leave the oats overnight in the fridge or outside on counter ? Also do the oats get ready to eat or we need to cook these a bit before we add the toppings in the morning ?

At the top, she says the honey gets cold from the frozen blueberries. In the directions it says top with the frozen blueberries, so it sounds like they’re kept frozen until you’re ready to put them on the oats. From reading other overnight oats recipes, you don’t need to cook the oats but they need to set long enough in the milk to absorb it (to soften). The amount of time this takes depends on the oats being used. You don’t need to heat it prior to eating, but I guess you could if you wanted it warm. Or warm oats and cold berries.

Absolutely love overnight oats, they’re so customizable- after seeing your pictures though, I want EXACTLY what you made and nothing else ever again – deeelish!

Oh yeah! This is totally going to become one of my new favorite things evah!!!!

Your pictures are just gorgeous! I’d love this for breakfast, lunch or an easy dinner. It looks so good!
