Turkish-Inspired Breakfast Spread

Breakfast is hands down my favorite meal of the day. I’ve become obsessed with Turkish breakfast thanks to a few local restaurants in LA that have been picking up on the Turkish breakfast trend and serving large platters filled with all kinds of dips, yogurt, eggs, fresh herbs, cheese, olives, pickled veggies and delicious fresh baked bread. I love the idea of sharing a large spread with friends where everyone can just graze and try a little bit of everything. I call this “Turkish-inspired” since the dishes featured aren’t necessarily your traditional Turkish breakfast items but are inspired by some of the classic ingredients. The main idea is to put together little bowls and plates to nibble on with bread and coffee.

That’s where Lantana Foods makes putting a breakfast spread like this together so easy! If you’re not familiar with Lantana, they are taking hummus to a whole new level and thinking outside the traditional chickpea hummus box by featuring all kinds of legumes and vegetables in their dips, like cauliflower, lentils, edamame, cucumbers, beets, black beans . . . the list goes on! I incorporated in my spread a few of my favorite Lantana flavors making this probably the easiest spread I’ve assembled. I hope you give this a go for your next brunch!

I’m not into traditional “breakfast” foods, so I think this spread looks just PERFECT for me. I’d come for breakfast!

I grew up in Turkey and had a lot of Turkish breakfast and this one looks just like the real deal. Well done friends!
