I have a love/hate relationship with winter. The rest of the country is undoubtedly leaning towards the latter right now. I take delight in the warmth, love, and connections the season brings but I am also averse to the shorter days and being cooped up indoors. This year, I’ve made it a goal to get outside more, especially during the work week. I love the idea of enjoying breakfast, or lunch, outdoors – making a concerted effort to soak up as much vitamin D as it is possible during the chilly season – at least here in California . . .
Earlier this week, despite looming rain clouds, we took our editorial meeting outside with a picnic breakfast. We brought out cozy blankets and filled a basket with pastries, piping hot brew, cheese, and fruit. We also had the opportunity to try some new Flip yogurt snack flavors from Chobani. We adore the sweet illustrations on their new packaging and the Apple Crisp Twist was a collective favorite. Sharing a snack outdoors together was such a great break from the day – even if it was just in my backyard. We hope you give it a try and get outside!

Wanted to drop a note that I loved this idea and we posted it in our five favorite things we found this week. I hope you dont mind.
Oh this is lovely! I enjoy a good picnic any time of the year. A breakfast picnic, so creative! I have to ask if the savoury breakfast pastries were purchased or homemade? If they were homemade, I’d love the recipe – they look scrumptious
Love this idea! That new Chobani packaging is SUPER cute. Thanks for the reminder – I need to put those on my grocery list!
Thanks so much Sara! That’s awesome!!
Ahhh…this is the inspiration I need to get out more too! It’s absolutely frigid here on the east coast, but we’ve got warmer weather headed our way by the end of the week. I’m going to make a point to get out there! Oh, and loving the new Chobani Flip! The packaging is perfect!
Yay! Thank you, Caroline! I’m glad that that temps out there have improved lately..
So gorgeous, and the perfect motivation to get outside this season!
Thanks Laura – really appreciate that.
This looks bloody EPIC! Love the idea of hot brew and soft, warm blankets alone! x
Hehe, thank you Supal!! It’s the little things 🙂
Love this idea.
