Obviously turkey, but I love the veggie sides also – I make really great Miso Roasted Carrots and a Hazelnut Green Bean dish. Yum!

I leave the turkey carving to the professionals (mom and dad)!! I make a cranberry raspberry pecan jello dessert that rocks the socks off of Thanksgiving dinner!

I will be making it all, having the family over for the big feast. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, a couple veggies, appetizers and pumpkin bars!

This Thanksgiving I’d like to make my first ever, super juice Turkey! I haven’t ever been big on Turkey, but I figure all that will change now that I know how to make it right 🙂

Thanks for the video link!
Carving a turkey is one of those life-skills that everyone seems to have, but no one really teaches!
What did we do before youtube!
:o)

turkey, brussel sprouts, and hasselback potatoes

We will make the traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

just discovered I’ll be making my first turkey ever for Thanksgiving! This set would sure come in handy!

I’m wanting to try a new turkey and stuffing recipe this year! (Liked Facebook Page too)

I am going to make the same feast I’ve made for the past 42 years: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, and fresh green beans. For dessert, we will have three pies – pumpkin, pecan, and apple, all homemade. It’s the same dinner my mother served on Thanksgiving and her mother before her, the only two women I can remember making my family’s Thanksgiving dinner.

Although Canadian Thanksgiving is over already, I’m planning ahead to Christmas, and this is definitely what I would’ve liked to have made on Thanksgiving – turkey with persimmons under the skin while roasting and cloves poked in over the top, with stuffing that has a bit of cinnamon and apple……salivating already……….

This year I have a Goose to cook. I have never had Goose, so I want to try it. Probably will make a Turkey also.

My contributions this year are cheesecake, buttery rolls and stuffing.

Roasted pears stuffed with walnuts and bleu cheese w/ mixed greens, Roasted turkey (brined), pan gravy, traditional stuffing, Martha Stewart’s fab green bean casserole, creamy mashed potatoes w/ parsnip and celery root, roasted sweet potatoes and fresh baked bread w/ honey butter. Can’t wait!!!!!!!

We will be combining some Southern roots with some Jewish home cooking! Roasted turkey with sourdough bread stuffing, maple glazed yams, homemade strawberry-cranberry sauce, and a beautiful apple pie!

this is my first year roasting a turkey for my fiancé and i. thanks for the great tutorial on carving! and thanks for the giveaway!

Thank you for the tutorial. We are having a ‘Friendsgiving’ at our house but as hosts, we’re making the turkey! I always try to make cornbread and wild rice stuffing too-a little unconventional but SOOO good.

I really want prime rib but I’m a nurse and will be working Thanksgiving. Hoping my work feeds us.

This is my first married Thanksgiving! My mother in law is coming to stay with us and we’ll all be cooking together! We will be making a feast while listening to the band (a tradition between my husband and I) but I especially like to make fruit pies!

I’m making a bourbon pumpkin pecan cheesecake. I made it last year and man… it couldn’t be better!! And green beans. And potentially some parker house rolls 🙂

I’m making turkey, green bean casserole, southern macaroni and cheese, whipped sweet potatoes, garlic and cheese biscuits, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and peppermint pie.

Obligatory turkey, of course. But also some cranberry sauce.

For starters a pear, brie, cranberry and sage tartlet. Hopefully, YUM.

I’m hoping to make pumpkin creme puffs for thanksgiving! something new and something pumpkin!

we’re making my grandma’s turkey recipe – it’s a tradition! and, of course, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. I can’t wait!

Yes! Great video…this will be my first year making the turkey by myself. Eeek!

Ok, first of all…LOVE this post because I am so bad and knowing how to carve a turkey. Secondly….the photo of the woman holding the turkey in the pan…gorgeous photo…and tons of props to her! I just made a turkey for thanksgiving prep last week, and boy oh boy, that bird was heavy lol! Lastly, I’m planning on making the works…turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc and know that i’ll be coming to your site for some inspiration!

For this Thanksgiving, I will try smoked turkey. This just makes total sense to free up the oven to make sides and add that extra oomph of flavor to the turkey. But when carving the turkey, girl, I think you are missing one of the tastiest parts: the oyster meat! 😉

I wish I was making the mashed potatoes because I like mine better than anyone else’s! But I’ll be bringing sweet potatoes!

It’s just going to be me and my husband this year, so I am planning on just cooking a turkey breast! And also cornbread sausage stuffing, green bean casserole, and gravy, of course! 🙂

We might do a turkey cranberry herb pizza….it’s just the two of us!

For Thanksgiving, I’m looking forward to making Ina Garten’s turkey breast roulade!

With this cook set, I would make an orange, cilantro, poblano pepper stuffed turkey with a brown sugar, chili powder, nutmeg, cumin black pepper rub. I would make a gluten free gravy with potato flour, so that my sister could partake. I would serve it with my late Mother’s green bean casserole and sweet potato casseroles. I would also serve it with bacon, truffle, goat cheese mac and cheese and home-made sourdough bread. I’m getting hungry just thinking about thanksgiving…

My husband and I are hosting Thanksgiving for the second year in a row, so I’m hoping we’re going to be a little more comfortable busting out a 20-lb bird this year. I’ll be making a (huge!) roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie this year, then leaving the rest to other members of my family who are coming (it’s always nice to take advantage of the good cooks in the group!) We’ve got a lot to be thankful for this year and are really looking forward to it 🙂

I want to bake the turkey with a wild mushroom, cornbread, and rice stuffing…

I will making turkey of course and all the wonderful sides to go along!

It’s all about hosting new and old friends over at my apartment for Friendsgiving!
Last year I made my friends the Honestly Yum Classic Dry Brined Turkey…and it was a hit! This year I’ve decided to skip the brine, and instead do a Truffle Butter Roasted Turkey. I cannot wait!

Going to make a cider glazed turkey, with two different kinds of stuffing, all the normal fixings and of course dessert: Pumpkin and apple pies with a chocolate salted caramel tart!

It’s never too early to talk turkey! Blown away as always by the gorgeous photos!

I like making stuffing with lots of herbs and a bit of linguica.

I am all about the stuffing – with roasted apples and cranberries and leeks. Yum.

I love to make my family happy with a rustic, natural tablescape with an unexpected twist thrown in, plus a chocolate/cranberry tart.

pumpkin pie (with maple syrup and vanilla beans) is my Thanksgiving go-to!

I made my turkey on the grill last year, it was okay but not memorable….my husband cannot carve a turkey! Thank you for the video!!!!!

Making the whole shebang, but let’s be honest, gravy and stuffing are the only things that matter.

I would like to make a turkey to redeem myself for last year! I hosted for the first time and tried a dry brine — saltiest turkey ever!!

I make what my mother made before me. Roast Turkey with stuffing and gravy, fresh cranberries, candied yams, Italian style mushrooms, broccoli, and pumpkin pie for dessert.

Cooking dinner for my husband’s entire family! Would love this!! Making everything from turkey to cranberry sauce from scratch.

Garlic Dungeness crab Rice Noodles! It is not your traditional Thanksgiving dish, but given that November is the beginning of crab season in the Bay Area who can resist!

We are spending Thanksgiving in Crested Butte, CO- just a small dinner with our family of 3 (almost 4!) in the snowy Colorado mountains. I’m thinking of making twice baked sweet potatoes since we don’t need an entire casserole.

Hosting family for the first time – we’re doing a turkey on the Traeger, gravy and 2 pies. I’ve assigned out the remaining dishes so that it can be a group effort!

I’m in charge of the vegetables, so it looks like it will be mashed potatoes with parsnips and brussel sprouts with red grapes!

For the first time I am going to make my own turkey! I’m really excited but a little nervous of the outcome! With the turkey base I’ll make gravy. I also plan to make an apple pie!
As for the rest I still need to decide what I want to make!
Thanks for this giveaway!

I’m hosting a Friendsgiving this year and I’m beyond excited! My husband is in charge of learning how to carve a turkey (and then doing it) so this video (and supplies!) will be tremendously helpful for him! I’m making: turkey, apple cornbread stuffing, roasted brussels sprouts, and a few desserts!

Sweet potato casserole is a favorite dish of mine to make for Thanksgiving!

I am fortunately going to be part of a team that will be preparing and serving hundreds of meals to homeless people around the city. If anyone has a chance to do something like this, please donate your time … it is the most rewarding experience.

I want to try to roast a turkey this year. I always have my husband smoke it, but it’s my turn this year.

This Thanksgiving will be the first time I make my own Turkey!! I am nervous but excited and will be brining and roasting at 16lb turkey for two!

I am going to be making turkey, pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread! It is going to be a delicious holiday filled with family, food and laughs!

Uhhhh now I’ll definitely be making your smoked turkey! Hands down! No questions! Can’t wait!!!! Plus my butternut squash praline casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, no-corn cornbread, Apple pie bars, sweet potato meringue pie and more I’m sure – all paleo of course. 😉

I’m going to be making turkey of course, mashed potatoes with sour cream and cream cheese, veggies, all the fix in’s!!

I’d love to make roast goose, but will make turkey to feed a crowd.

I have roasted a turkey only once because the one time I did it- I failed to cook it all the way through. I am determined to do it right this year!

I’ve been reading Julia Childs’ recipe for roast turkey and stuffing, and I’m excited to try her method this year. It’s completely different from the norm, but seems to have a stroke of genius!

What a great giveaway (and gorgeous turkey). Our lack of a real roasting pan was kind of a problem last year. I’m thinking about making my turkey with a za’atar rub, and also working on a gluten-free version of the cranberry orange bread my mom always makes.

I’m making my grandmother’s delicious dressing recipe. Yum!!
