My jackets and boots were really getting neglected in Los Angeles this summer, so I thought I’d give them some love in San Francisco’s “summer” weather. However, it won’t be all fog and cold as I’ll be going to Napa for a little romantic getaway this weekend! Any places I must go to in Napa or Sonoma?
- This stunning time-lapse video of San Francisco’s fog by Simon Christen took two years to capture. Absolutely incredible.
- If you want more of San Francisco’s scenic fog, follow Karl the Fog on Instagram. Karl’s poetic wit is a breath of fresh fog.
- Boba Milk Tea Popsicles???!!! Please excuse me while my head explodes.
- Few things on Pinterest catch my eye like these photographs of decaying flowers. They are beyond gorgeous.
- I think every macaron flavor under the sun has been made, but I’ve never heard of popcorn macarons with salted caramel filling!
Incredible. Gave me goosebumps.
Absolutely amazing, I just love Time Lapse videos!
Absolutely breathless.
Hi Karen! We just got back from our drive up the Cali coast, which started in LA and ended in Napa. It was an amazing trip and we loved all the food we ate along the way…we ate a lot of food. Don Pisto’s in San Francisco was crack. Ad Hoc was good but we can’t stop raving about our meal of shared plates at Carpe Diem (our favorites: housemade burrata, quack-n-cheese, and stuffed blossoms). Enjoy your trip!
We’ll be going to Ad Hoc tonight! Thanks for the tips!
Karen, a place my wife and I love to visit is V.Sattui winery. Their on-site deli is great, the wine pretty darned good. We love to buy a bottle or 2, head into the deli, get all the fixings for a picnic and sit outside in their garden areas and enjoy. If you’ve never been, give it a try: http://www.vsattui.com/
Perfect recommendation because we’re going there for lunch today!
