Day 11: Jered’s Pottery

December 11, 2015
12 Days of Christmas,2015

Today’s giveaway is truly a work of art. Jered Nelson has crafted dinnerware for notable chefs including Michael Mina, Michael Chiarello, and Daniel Patterson. His stunning California Line is evocative of such work – each piece handmade from California clay by Jered and his talented team. I had the opportunity to visit the Jered Pottery studio in Richmond, CA, and check out the collection in person. For the giveaway, Jered and I settled on a trio of Jack Bowls that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of. Holding the bowls at the studio I was dreaming of steaming hot ramen, hearty rice bowls, and wholesome salads. They’re even large enough for a small fruit bowl! The lucky winner will get all three bowls, with their own choice of color combo. To enter, simply leave a comment below and a random winner will be selected on Monday, December 14th. Best of luck!! *Limited to U.S. and Canada residents only.

**** CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. The winner is Heather S! Thanks for participating!!****

I love these bowls. I may go buy one, if I win, I will have two!

I’ve seen these in person, and I am hoping pretty please with sugar on top that I win. They are each a masterful work of functional art. They actually ring, like fine crystal, when you ping them with your finger. And to make it all even better, this is a company that cares about it’s workers and the environment: they pay a living wage, and source as much of their materials as they can close to their studios. I absolutely love EVERYTHING about Jered’s pottery. Beauty, function, and fairness. What more could anyone ask for?

All the best foods are eaten out of bowls and none better than these beauties <3
