Yum, We Love . . .

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone is enjoying our picnic this week. There are more fun recipes to come, including a refreshing picnic cocktail from yours truly, so be sure to check back next week. In the meantime, it’s my turn to offer-up this week’s “Yum, We Love . . .” where we highlight a selection of our favorite links from around the web. Enjoy!

  • Alanna Taylor-Tobin of The Bojon Gourmet combined three of my favorite things in the world, rum, coconut and granola, to make one superhero combo of deliciousness: Rum-Kissed Coconut Granola. There’s officially no reason to even glance at another granola recipe, ever! You can quote me on that.

  • Caitlin Van Horn of Roost never ceases to amaze me with her creative, seasonal recipes.  Recently she made grilled spring vegetable tacos with cauliflower tortillas that will be my attempt to eat healthy this weekend.
  • Organize your bar tools with this nifty roll-up bar bag. Yeah that’s right, I said nifty.
  • The other week I attended my very first flower arranging workshop hosted by West Elm, taught by the incredibly talented ladies of Studio Choo. Check out their absolutely gorgeous Flower Recipe Book for a step-by-step guide for making your own floral arrangements.
  • One of my favorite authors (and fellow Berkeley resident) Michael Pollan argues the importance of a good home-cooked meal in his new book, Cooked.
  • Speaking of home-cooked meals, does it count if it comes from a printer? Hmm, I wonder what Michael Pollan would say about that.
  • Keeping it futuristic, the Makr Shakr isn’t just your average robot bartender . . . whatever that means. It is smartphone-ready, can monitor blood alcohol levels, and even has the grace of a ballet dancer, yikes!

Have a great weekend and a happy, safe Memorial Day!

I would like to invite you to taste our new fresh organic extra virgin gourmet olive oils that will be ready on October

Aw!!! Thank you for the incredibly kind words! 😀

I don’t know, there’s just something unsettling about the 3D food printer. I applaud the humanitarian and ecological intent, but eating what looks like particle-board food, to me anyway, just isn’t appetizing. I’ll stick with the amazing recipes/foods you guys have been featuring, thank you! 🙂

That 3D food printer is officially the coolest thing I’ve seen this week! I’m not sure I’d want to eat what it makes but super interesting!
